Jessie Banhazl

Jessie Banhazl is an entrepreneur and small business consultant. In 2008, she founded Green City Growers, a mission-driven urban farming company that installs and maintains vegetable gardens and rooftop farms nationally (including at Fenway Park in Boston). The company was acquired in 2021. Banhazl has been a mentor for Maine Center for Entrepreneurship since 2022. She is dedicated to helping small businesses succeed, with a focus on social impact and food & beverage companies. She currently wears many hats, including as a bookkeeper and financial advisor, writer and photographer for The Bollard, manager for her band Lean Meats, and House Manager at The State Theatre in Portland.

Scott Howe

Scott Howe has more than 40 years of professional writing and editing experience. Working in journalism, marketing communications, public relations, and promotion, Scott has served clients in industries such as higher education, healthcare, insurance, and financial services. Over the course of his career, he has held full-time and contract positions with companies and organizations such as McLean Hospital, Diversified Communications, BlueCross Blue Shield of MA, Boston Children’s Hospital, Emmanuel College, Tufts Health Plan, Commonwealth Care Alliance, and more. In addition to his writing and editing work, Scott has experience in graphic design, podcasting, social media, and video editing.
